TP2B-200
The C.A. Designs twisted-pair video driver TP2B-200 is part of a line interface for the transport of video signals, throughout buildings wired with category 5 cable systems, to remote monitor screens (note that the unit features a local output).
The TP2B-200 transforms the VGA / SVGA / XGA video output from a PC graphics adapter into a differential composite analogue video format suitable for transmission over twisted-pair cables.
Synchronisation pulses of any polarity are accepted and may be recreated at the receiving end by a TP1V-100 receiver.
The twisted-pair cable used must be category 5 grade or better (depending on length and acceptable quality) and be correctly terminated at the remote end using a C.A. Designs twisted-pair video receiving unit (TP1A-100 or TP1V-100).
Excellent picture quality is obtained from:
The unit may be powered either from a PC keyboard port, using a power take-off lead type LD7Q, or via a separate +12v regulated power supply (e.g. MP1A / FL).
Power is sent over the transmission link to the receiver which requires no other external power supply.
