TP1A-100
The C.A. Designs SVGA video receiver TP1A-100 is part of a line interface allowing the transport of PC video signals using twisted-pair cables, typically throughout office complexes wired with structured cable systems, to remote monitor screens.
A line driving module (TP1B-*) transforms the video signal from a PC graphics adaptor into differential form suitably matched to level 5 UTP or FTP cable.
This line-receiving module TP1A-100 outputs analogue RGB video suitable for monitors. Balanced differential input amplifiers reduce unwanted common-mode interference and compensate for cable losses (switchable for 0, 50 and 100 metres). The unit takes power from the twisted-pair line and requires no external power supply.
The twisted-pair cable used must be catagory 5 grade cable or better (depending on length and acceptable picture quality). Foil screened cable is recommended for optimum EMC.
