C.A. Designs KB2* dual keyboard sharer products allow a single IBM-compatible PC to be controlled with two keyboards.  Please note that other product versions are available from C.A. Designs which support the use of up to 4 (KB4B) or 7 (KB7B) keyboards.

Keyboards may be either 5-pin DIN or 6-pin mini-DIN type, but all must be of the same type.

The keyboards operate a contention system with control on a 'first come, first served' basis.  Keyboards demand control (when all are idle) by any keystroke action.

When control resides with one workstation, the others are locked out while it is in use and for a short time (3 seconds) afterwards.

These units derive their power from the computer keyboard port and require no external power supply.
